Pricing

At New River Family Wellness, our billing practices are likely very different from the healthcare services you’re used to. We’re a membership based practice where your monthly service charge covers all of your primary care needs. We don’t do any insurance billing, but despite this, most of our patients save money compared to what they spend on co-pays, deductibles, labs, and especially medications that we can dispense directly in the office. You don’t use your car insurance to pay for oil changes because it would get too cumbersome and expensive; for the same reason, we think primary care services should be separated from medical insurance allowing you to get higher quality care at much more affordable prices. Take a look at our pricing below keeping in mind your out-of-pocket expenses over the last year. Even one trip to the ER or Urgent Care can cost more than a whole year’s services. If you have questions, take a look at our Flyers and FAQ pages and remember, the initial Enrollment consultation is free and there we can answer any remaining questions you have. You can always Contact Us too! All of this pricing information is available with more thorough description in our patient contract, where the official fee list is provided, which can be found on the Forms page.

Medication

At New River Family Wellness, we dispense medicines in the office at wholesale prices saving our patients hundreds of dollars a year. While our wholesaler’s prices change frequently, the table below shows representative pricing for our most common medications. Don’t worry if you don’t see your medication listed; we dispense much more than what’s on this list and can always order medicines we don’t have in the office still at our low wholesale prices which you’ll always know up front.

Labs

We think you’ll have a hard time finding lab prices as fair as ours. With our negotiated prices, even patients with insurance find they save compared to what they’ve paid in the past. Plus, you’ll always know exactly how much your labs cost before we even draw them. Take a look at the most common labs we order below. While there are hundred of other lab tests available if needed, the savings are similar.

Non-Member Services and Procedures

In order to insure that our community has access to the specialized procedures out doctors perform, they offer a few services to non-members. Our prices are still discounted and transparent and still likely to be more affordable for many patients. Take a look at available procedures and their prices below. For more information about how to arrange these services, see out Non-Member page.

Additional Fees

Our goal at New River Family Wellness is to have clear and reasonable fees. In order to maintain low membership prices, our practice charges additional nominal fees for a few select services. Most patient’s will only encounter the enrollment fee, which is charged at the time you become a member (FYI, your first monthly membership fee will not be billed until the next month). Other specific fees include charges for visits at locations other than the office, such as at home, or a nursing facility, and for daily hospital management. We also charge for completing the DOT paperwork for CDL physicals as well as for managing pregnancies. All of these fees, and especially our global pregnancy fee which covers just about everything for your entire pregnancy, are still substantially discounted over what you would pay outside our practice; just take a look below. All of this information is more thoroughly described in our patient contract, where the official fee list is provided, which can be found on the Forms page.
