Non-Member Services
At New River Family Wellness, we know that being a part of a community means helping fill in the gaps in medical care. That’s why we offer a few select services to non-members. If you’re a patient interested in any of the in-office procedures below, or a practitioner interested in referring a patient for a medical procedure, Contact Us at our office number. Please note, these procedures are not billed to insurance and require payment at the time of your appointment; prices are listed below and on the Pricing page. In addition, patients must consent to the Privacy, Communication, Medicare Beneficiary, and Information Release Policies, if applicable, to receive services. Vasectomy
Dr. Allen performs vasectomies which are permanent sterilization procedures for men who are sure they don't want any more children. Interested men can set up a consultation without a referral. We do require a waiting period between the initial consultation and the procedure.
Circumcision
Dr. Allen performs circumcisions on newborns less than two weeks of age. These are elective and do not require a referral. Because the timing is important, we ask that you contact the office as soon as you bring your baby home from the hospital.
Colposcopy
Both Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Allen perform colposcopies, a procedure to closely examine a woman's cervix, vagina and vulva for signs of disease after having an abnormal pap smear. Colposcopies are not elective and require a referral.
LEEP
Dr. Sullivan performs LEEPs (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure). It's a treatment that prevents cervical cancer. A small electrical wire loop is used to remove abnormal cells from the cervix that were found during a colposcopy.
